There are a couple of ways to add a network device to the NVS software. One way is using the Network Video Device Wizard. To add a camera to the NVS software, follow these steps;
1. From the Live Display screen click Device Manager.
a. The first time you click Device Manager the Network Video Device Wizard will automatically pop up. If the wizard does not come up click the Wizard button on the bottom right corner of the screen.
2. The Network Video Device Wizard will display. Choose the Device type and type a name for that device in the Device Name field. Click Next.

3. Enter the IP Address and the Port number your device is using. Click Next.

4. Enter the User ID and Password to login to your network device. Click Next.

5. Assign your new network device a channel for the NVS software. Click Finish.

You will now see your new device in the Device List and you can now view the video in the Live Display screen.
The second way to add a device is using the Device Properties section in the Device Manager window.
1. From the Live Display click Device Manager.
a. If the Network Video Device Wizard comes up click the X in the top right corner to close the wizard. If you do not want the wizard to come up in the future check the Do Not Display this Wizard Again checkbox.
2. Under the Device Properties section complete the information for the network device being added. All fields must be completed before the network device will be added.
a. Device Type
b. Device Name
c. IP/URL
d. Port #
e. User ID
f. Password

3. Click the Add button to add the device to the Device List.
4. Repeat step 2 to add more devices. You will just overwrite the information and click the Add button to add a new device.
5. Click the Apply button to save your settings.
To assign you device a channel within NVS complete the below steps;
1. Click Recording Setup.
2. Within the Recording Channel List put a check in the checkbox for each position that will be used.

3. Assign your network device to that position by clicking the position and using the drop down boxes on the right side of the screen to select the device to assign that position.
a. A second way to assign a device is by clicking in the Device column and using the drop down to select your device and then clicking in the Device Channel to select the channel of the device.
i. The device channel option will always be camera one unless using a network device that has multiple cameras plugged into it, a 4 channel streamer is an example.

4. Click Apply to save your settings.
Your live video from that network device can now be seen in the Live Display screen.
